Maximum Productivity
BayScribe truly maximizes Transcriptionist productivity, ensuring satisfaction and efficiency. Because it operates in a browser, all that is needed is a USB foot pedal, a headset, a PC with Internet Explorer 6.x or higher and an internet connection…VPN’s are NOT required nor needed. BayScribe handles the security within the application. If you have upgraded to Microsoft Vista, BayScribe works with Vista and Windows 7.
BayScribe is easy to use and requires minimal training and often productivity increases are noted within a couple of weeks of using the system. Transcriptionists keep their hands free of the phone and on the keyboard when listening over the internet which accounts for the vast majority of the increase. The second major increase is derived from our web-based report template system. The transcriptionists only have to type the report and not format the document, which greatly improves speed and accuracy. Upon submitting the report, the document is merged into a preset RTF template eliminating the need for any Word processing software on the transcriptionist’s computer. BayScribe also provides word expanders, spell-checkers and dictionaries to aid the transcriptionist, and allows each user the ability to customize their tools.
For the administrator, BayScribe provides the ability to make particular fields in the document required for Submission, required for a Complete Report as well as determine which of the fields will be fields the Transcriptionist will be paid for. By pre-populating information into the report from other systems, report creation is sped and simplified; time and money are saved; and errors are reduced or eliminated.
COMPOSE for the Clinician
Clinicians that currently type documents in other systems, systems that may not be integrated into the clinical workflow, and then email the reports to HIM to have them incorporate (read: cut and paste) them into the H.I.S. can utilize our Compose tool to type reports online.
Clinicians have access to Patient Lists and Referring Physician Rosters and can type the reports they choose without regard for formatting, as the formatting is handled by the BayScribe output template. If the clinician wishes to preview and/or print the report, then Microsoft Word is required (as it used to view and print only).
Clinicians can Compose in any web browser; Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
